This heavy-duty monobloc acts as a central thermal plant, certified for stable heating in outdoor temperatures down to -25°C, and highly effective cooling in summer up to +43°C (by supplying chilled water to active fan coils or underfloor/wall cooling loops). Utilizing SENSEI's advanced DC inverter control, the system regulates water temperature delivery with an accuracy of 0.5°C, preventing sudden temperature drops and ensuring consistent microclimatic stability throughout the structure.

Installation & Operation Insights

  • From our engineering teams' experience: Since the monobloc is filled with water and sits entirely outdoors, we pay meticulous attention to frost protection in regions with potential winter power outages. We strongly recommend filling the heating system with a certified propylene glycol-based thermal fluid or installing specialized mechanical freeze-protection valves (such as Ice-Stop valves).

  • For the HPGM-16BP, installing a buffer tank (typically 100 to 120 liters) is highly recommended to ensure smooth defrost cycles without dropping the indoor system's temperature.

  • Installation is exceptionally clean and rapid: because the refrigerant loop is hermetically sealed at the factory, there is zero need for copper line brazing or flaring on site. The installer only needs to connect insulated water pipes from the monobloc directly to the building's heating manifold.

Comparison with the Previous HPGM-14BP Model

While both units belong to SENSEI's heavy-duty monobloc range, the HPGM-16BP offers key capacity and performance upgrades over the HPGM-14BP (14.0 kW):

  • Higher Flow Rate Compatibility: The integrated circulation pump and heat exchanger in the HPGM-16BP are designed to handle larger water flow volumes, making it more suitable for properties with more extensive underfloor heating loops and more complex hydraulic distributors.

  • Properties with a three-phase power supply (380V) where balancing electrical phases during high thermal load demands is essential.

Might Not Be Suited For:

  • If your home's total heated area is under 130 m², the 16.0 kW capacity may be oversized, leading to inefficient compressor cycling; in this scenario, the HPGM-12BP or HPGM-10BP is the more balanced, economical choice.

  • If you live in an area prone to long, unmanaged winter blackouts and do not wish to use glycol or freeze-protection valves in your heating system, a split-type system remains a safer choice because its water-bearing parts are protected indoors.
