MONOBLOC R32 DC INVERTER · Air-to-Water Heat Pump
HPGM-8BP
The HPGM-8BP is a highly efficient, fully integrated air-to-water monobloc heat pump with a nominal heating capacity of 8.0 kW. We recommend this robust, mid-range model for modern energy-efficient houses, townhouses, and spacious apartments ranging from 80 to 100 m². It is the ideal engineering solution for properties that require significant thermal output but lack interior space for a dedicated utility room. Since all hydraulic components are housed directly inside the outdoor monobloc chassis, there is no need to allocate valuable indoor wall or floor space to an indoor hydro-module.
MODELS
Year-Round Comfort
This monobloc system is engineered to deliver stable heating in outdoor temperatures down to -25°C, and highly effective cooling in summer up to +43°C (by supplying chilled water to fan coils or underfloor/wall cooling loops). Driven by an advanced DC inverter controller, the system maintains the target water temperature within a precise 0.5°C range, eliminating temperature fluctuations and ensuring consistent, draught-free indoor comfort.
Technical Advantages & Features
-
Top-Tier Seasonal Efficiency (A+++ Class): Utilizing full DC inverter technology on the compressor, fan, and water pump, the system extracts up to 75% of its thermal energy from the ambient air, drastically reducing winter heating bills compared to standard electric boilers.
-
All-in-One Concept: The outdoor unit houses all essential hydraulic components, including a high-efficiency plate heat exchanger, a DC water pump, an expansion vessel, a flow switch, and safety valves. It outputs a ready-to-use water heating circuit directly.
-
Premium DC Inverter Compressor: Features a highly reliable inverter compressor with advanced acoustic and thermal insulation, keeping vibration and outdoor operating noise to an absolute minimum.
-
Eco-Friendly R32 Refrigerant: Optimized to run on low-GWP R32 refrigerant, which increases thermodynamic heat transfer efficiency by 10% and requires a smaller refrigerant charge volume.
-
Wired Controller Included: Comes with an intuitive wired touchscreen controller to program customized weather-dependent heating curves, vacation modes, weekly schedules, and domestic hot water (DHW) priorities.
Installation & Operation Insights
-
From our engineering teams' experience: Since the monobloc is filled with water and sits entirely outdoors, we pay meticulous attention to frost protection in regions with potential winter power outages. We strongly recommend filling the heating system with a certified propylene glycol-based thermal fluid or installing specialized mechanical freeze-protection valves (such as Ice-Stop valves).
-
For the HPGM-8BP, installing a buffer tank (typically 50 to 60 liters) is highly recommended to ensure smooth defrost cycles without dropping the indoor system's temperature.
-
Installation is exceptionally clean and rapid: because the refrigerant loop is hermetically sealed at the factory, there is zero need for copper line brazing or flaring on site. The installer only needs to connect insulated water pipes from the monobloc directly to the building's heating manifold.
Comparison with the Previous HPGM-6BP Model
While both units belong to SENSEI's compact monobloc range, the HPGM-8BP offers key capacity and performance upgrades over the HPGM-6BP (6.0 kW):
-
Increased Thermal Output: Delivering 8.0 kW compared to the 6.0 kW of the 6-model, this system easily supports larger residential spaces (up to 100 m² vs 80 m²) and provides faster hot water recovery times in domestic hot water (DHW) tanks.
-
Superior Heating Capacity in Cold Weather: The 8.0 kW model retains a larger absolute heating output at sub-zero temperatures, reducing the need for auxiliary electric backup heaters during peak winter frosts.
-
Higher Flow Rate Compatibility: The integrated circulation pump and heat exchanger in the HPGM-8BP are designed to handle larger water flow volumes, making it more suitable for properties with more extensive underfloor heating loops.
Best Suited For:
-
Owners of mid-sized townhouses, smart homes, and apartments (80–100 m²) who want to transition to green energy without sacrificing indoor utility space.
-
Projects looking for a fast, straightforward installation that minimizes on-site labor and eliminates the need for complex refrigerant piping.
Might Not Be Suited For:
-
If your home's total heated area is under 70 m², the 8.0 kW capacity may be oversized, leading to inefficient compressor cycling; in this scenario, the HPGM-6BP is the more balanced, economical choice.
-
If you live in an area prone to long, unmanaged winter blackouts and do not wish to use glycol or freeze-protection valves in your heating system, a split-type system remains a safer choice because its water-bearing parts are protected indoors.
