The HPGS-V10HW / HPGS-V12HN is an exceptionally balanced split-type air-to-water heat pump with a nominal thermal capacity of 10.0 kW (powered by a single-phase 220V supply). The system pairs the high-performance HPGS-V10HW indoor hydro-module with the robust HPGS-V12HN outdoor unit (which provides the physical chassis and heat exchanger area for this capacity class). We recommend this "10-kW" setup for modern, well-insulated private homes, spacious townhouses, and cottages ranging from 80 to 110 m². It represents the perfect "sweet spot" for properties that require more heating power than a standard 8 kW unit can provide, but where a full 12 kW system would be slightly oversized.

This advanced air-to-water split system is certified to deliver stable heating in extreme winter climates down to -28°C, and highly effective cooling in summer up to +43°C. During the hot summer months, the system reverses its thermodynamic cycle to supply chilled water to underfloor cooling loops or fan coils. Guided by an advanced DC inverter controller, it manages water temperature delivery with an accuracy of 0.5°C, ensuring optimal comfort without thermal overshoot or sudden temperature drops.

Installation & Operation Insights

  • From our engineering teams' experience: For the HPGS-V10HW / HPGS-V12HN, a properly sized buffer tank (typically 50 to 60 liters) is essential to ensure a clean defrost cycle and prevent compressor short-cycling.

  • We mount the outdoor unit on heavy-duty floor brackets with specialized anti-vibration rubber dampers to keep mechanical hum away from the structure. Since the connection between the indoor hydro-module and outdoor unit relies exclusively on copper refrigerant line sets (1/4" liquid and 1/2" gas), the installer does not need to run water pipes outdoors, which streamlines the installation process.

Best Suited For:

High pressure-ratio compressor

Larger heat exchanger

A larger heat exchanger to match the required heat-exchange area at low ambient temperatures. Flat-type fins improve defrosting efficiency.

Integrated PCB

Efficient heat transfer for both heating and cooling. Compact footprint. Withstands high temperatures and high pressure.

Inverter water pump

High-efficiency inverter water pump. Brand: Wilo Para series. Water head is 9 m for the 8 kW, 12 kW, and 16 kW hydronic modules. CE and VDE compliant, 50/60 Hz.

Expansion tank

When water heats up, it expands and its pressure rises. Without room for thermal expansion, serious problems can occur in the water system, including failure or rupture. The expansion tank maintains stable pressure in the water system. Pre-charge pressure: 0.15 MPa. Volume: 2 L.
