Longi Solar has released a completely new series of photovoltaic modules and introduced the «hybrid passivated back contact» cell technology. The new Hi-MO 7 series will initially be available in four different formats, aimed primarily at rooftop solar power plants. The monocrystalline bifacial solar panel LR8-66HGD-615 bifacial is used in grid-tied, hybrid and off-grid solar power plant systems. It has an output of 615W, which is a very high figure for the year 2025. The efficiency of the solar panel is very high and amounts to 22.6 % when paired with an inverter, which makes it possible to use it effectively for earning income under the «green tariff» or for off-grid power supply. The best materials and components on the photovoltaic market were used to create this model. 132 high-quality silicon cells are fixed in a composite alloy frame 30mm thick, in 22 rows. Converting solar energy into direct current with a maximum voltage of 40.51V and a current of 15.06A, they have a low heating level, thereby increasing the performance of each cell. The surface of the panel is reliably protected by double 2.0 +2.0 millimetre tempered glass. The solar panel has passed hail testing with 25mm hailstones at a wind speed of 23m/s. The structure is able to withstand a snow load of up to 5200Pa and a wind load of up to 2400Pa. It is resistant to salt moisture, ammonia and dust, which has been confirmed by independent testing. The IP68 protection class of the device means that it is fully protected against dust ingress and withstands short-term immersion in water to a depth of up to 1 metre. Accidental contact of the electrical elements with a person is excluded. The model is certified under the ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004 management systems. Compliance with the industry standards IEC 61215 and IEC 61730 ensures the high quality and safety of the equipment. Independent confirmation of compliance was carried out by TUV Rheinland. The device has increased overall dimensions of 2382x1134x30mm and a low weight of 33.5 kg. The manufacturer provides a 12-year warranty on the parts and components of the photovoltaic module. The warranty period for retaining linear output parameters is 30 years, and at the end of this period the power level of the panel is no lower than 87.4%. In other words, the degradation of the panel over 30 years of operation is only 12.6%.
