Warranty Terms
This warranty covers complete Sensei air conditioning devices of the following types: RAC – SPLIT, LCAC – MULTISPLIT, LCAC – SPLIT (hereafter referred to as “Devices”) purchased through the authorized distribution network of Sensei Sp. z o.o. and installed and activated by an Authorized Installer. This warranty is valid exclusively within the European Union.
Sensei Sp. z o.o., headquartered in Kraków, Poland at Kotlarska 34A, 31-539 Kraków (hereafter referred to as the “Guarantor”), guarantees the proper functioning of the Device listed in this warranty card in accordance with the technical and operational conditions described in the Device’s user and installation manual, after installation and activation by an Authorized Installer.
The term “Authorized Installer” as used in this warranty refers to a company responsible for installation and/or periodic maintenance, warranty repairs, and which holds:
- A valid F-gas certificate, both personal (for the service technician) and for the enterprise (the validity of the certificate can be checked on the relevant national website or through the official EU F-gas portal).
- A valid authorization certificate for installing and servicing Sensei Devices issued by Sensei Sp. z o.o. (The validity of the certificate can be verified by contacting the Sensei Service Department via phone or email, with contact details available on the Sensei website).
- General Conditions
1.1. This warranty covers only manufacturing defects inherent in the sold Device, caused by faulty parts or manufacturing defects that result in non-compliance with the technical and operational conditions specified in the Device’s user and installation manual.
1.2. The Guarantor’s obligations involve performing warranty repairs on the Device (including free delivery of parts and labor) during the warranty period by the Authorized Installer who installed and activated the Device or who conducts the Device’s periodic inspections. The date of the last entry in the Warranty Card is decisive.
1.3. Sensei Sp. z o.o. may decide, instead of repairing a defective Device, to replace it with a new one.
- User Obligations
2.1. The customer is obligated to read the Device’s user manual, adhere to the rules of proper use, and commission the required paid periodic inspections of the Device to Authorized Installers.
2.2. Sensei Sp. z o.o. requires at least 2 inspections per year (at intervals of 5-7 months), and for air conditioners installed in technical rooms, a minimum of 4 inspections per year (at intervals of 3 months) performed by an Authorized Installer. Failure to conduct mandatory warranty inspections or conducting them by unauthorized persons without a valid authorization certificate or F-gas certificate will result in the User losing all rights under this warranty.
2.3. The warranty card is valid only if it is correctly filled out and signed by the Authorized Installer who installed and activated the Device. The warranty card should include:
- A list of Devices with serial numbers
- Details of the Authorized Installer
- The installation address of the Device
- The date of purchase and activation of the Device
- A card confirming the completed inspections and warranty repairs
- An activation protocol
- The signature and stamp of the Authorized Installer
2.4. Entries in the Warranty Card may only be made by the Guarantor or the Authorized Installer. The only exception is the Buyer’s declaration of familiarity with the Warranty Card’s content.
- Exercising Warranty Rights
3.1. The standard warranty period for Sensei devices is 60 months from the date of installation and activation by an Authorized Installer, but not more than 63 months from the date of sale by Sensei Sp. z o.o. to the Authorized Installer. For compressors in RAC – SPLIT devices, the warranty period is 120 months*, starting from the date of sale by Sensei Sp. z o.o. to the Authorized Installer. The compressor warranty does not cover RAC – SPLIT devices installed in technical rooms.
3.2. Warranty claims will be processed after:
- Presenting a valid Warranty Card along with proof of purchase from the Authorized Installer and confirming that the Warranty Card’s records match the actual situation.
- Reporting a malfunction in writing or via electronic communication to the Authorized Installer.
3.3. The Authorized Installer must respond to the complaint within 14 calendar days from the day after the complaint is filed.
3.4. Product defects and malfunctions revealed during the warranty period will be repaired free of charge by the Authorized Installer who installed and activated the device within 14 business days from the date the Buyer’s claim is accepted. This period may be extended if parts need to be sourced from outside the country.
3.5. Warranty repair does not cover actions described in the user manual, which the User is required to handle independently, such as commissioning periodic cleaning and maintenance of the equipment.
3.6. Defects and faults revealed in the Device will be repaired free of charge by the Authorized Installer. The cost of replacement parts and the cost of transporting parts to the Authorized Installer or directly to the Client will be covered by Sensei Sp. z o.o., provided the warranty claim is justified.
- Exclusion of Guarantor Liability
4.1. The warranty does not cover:
- Mechanical damage
- Damage caused by improper power supply connection
- Damage due to improper voltage in the power network
- Damage caused by lightning strikes
- Damage caused by improper use
- Damage and faults caused by dirty filters, heat exchangers, fans, condensate pumps (if factory-installed) of the Device
- The warranty does not cover the refrigerant, electrical, and condensate installations.
4.2. The warranty is void if:
- Mandatory warranty inspections are not performed, serial numbers are tampered with or removed
- Repairs are performed by an unauthorized service
- Unauthorized changes or erasures are made in the warranty card
- The warranty card is lost or destroyed.
4.3. The warranty applies only to the Device and does not cover losses associated with the leakage of refrigerant from the cooling system, water from the condensate system, damage related to the electrical installation made to power the Device, or the interaction of Sensei Devices with devices or controllers from other manufacturers.
4.4. The warranty does not cover parts of Devices or accessories that are subject to normal wear and tear during use.
4.5. In case of loss of the Warranty Card, no duplicate will be issued.
4.6. Faulty parts removed from the Device after warranty repair become the property of the Guarantor.
4.7. If the reported device is functional and the service call was unwarranted, the User may be charged for the Authorized Installer’s travel costs according to the price list.
4.8. The warranty does not exclude, limit, or suspend the rights of the Buyer arising from the regulations concerning the lack of conformity of the goods with the contract. To the extent permitted by law, the Guarantor is not liable:
- For damages, including lost profits of the Buyer or third parties, resulting from the necessity to repair the Device
- For damages, including lost profits of the Buyer or third parties, resulting from delays in carrying out warranty repairs of the Device
- If required warranty repairs cannot be performed on time due to circumstances beyond their control, such as trade and customs regulations, force majeure like floods, hurricanes, etc.
4.9. In matters not covered by this warranty card, the relevant provisions of the Civil Code shall apply.
